In a successful operation, customs officials at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport apprehended two passengers arriving from Dubai. The officials seized a haul of smuggled goods, including 28 mobile phones, 2 laptops, 50 suits, and 40 water bottles, with a total estimated value of over Rs 6,451,000.
A case has been registered against the two individuals under the customs act, marking another victory in the ongoing battle against smuggling.
In a separate incident, Airport Security Force (ASF) officials at Peshawar Airport foiled a drug smuggling attempt. The suspect, identified as Sheeraz, was preparing to board a flight to Karachi when his luggage aroused suspicion. Upon inspection, ASF personnel discovered 648 grams of ICE drugs cleverly concealed in two bags.
The accused was handed over to Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) authorities, along with the confiscated drugs, following an initial investigation.
